How to get visa to Czech Republic?

ISN is a very unique institution, which aims to provide information about higher education and connect students from all over the world in Prague, Czech Republic.
How to get the study visa?
Students from countries outside the EU have to turn to the local Czech Embassy or Consulate and apply for a student visa. Please note, that the whole procedure requires some paperwork and can take up to 60 days, so it is recommended to apply for the visa well in advance. The regulations for obtaining visas change from time to time, so the information listed here should be considered as guidelines only. You should always consult your local Czech Embassy or Consulate or check the website of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic for the latest information regarding visa requirements.
How it works

Acceptance Letter
After you pass your entrance exams successfully and pay tuition fee, you will receive an original acceptance letter by DHL from the university for your visa purposes.

Accommodation
Choose where you want to stay, pay the deposit and receive an original accommodation confirmation with a supportive documents from the provider.

Other Documents
Prepare the rest of the documents. Make sure that all of them are legalized (or superlegalized) and translated to Czech language if requested.

Embassy Application
In most cases to apply for the embassy appointment you have to send an email. Check the specific procedure at the local Czech Embassy or Consulate.

Embassy Interview
Prepare yourself for the embassy interview. You'll be asked a couple of questions in order to verify your motivation to study.

Waiting Time
Study visa decisions usually take up to 60 working days. We, as ISN, have no influence on this process. You can also verify your visa decision status online.

Medical Insurance
After your visa decision is granted, you have to provide a comprehensive health insurance for foreigners in order to receive it in your passport.
Required Documents
An application form for a long-term study visa can be downloaded from the web of the embassy.
An identity card of an EU citizen or a foreign passport with territorial validity for all states.
Accepted colour or black and white. The size is standard 35mm X 45mm.
Confirmation from the property owner or ownership of a flat/house in the territory of the Czech Republic.
Acceptance Letter
A document on enrolment in studies, issued by the university and sent in original version by post.
Bank confirmation, translated to Czech language, and copy of a payment card.
Issued by the state of which you are a citizen, as well as the states in which you have resided continuously for a period longer than 6 months.
For the whole duration of your stay, needed after the visa status is approved. Not in the moment of application.
Document proving the fulfilment of conditions set out in the measure of Ministry of Health on prevention of the spread of COVID19.
